How to play Idle Miner Depths
1. Tap to mine
Tap the mine to chip out ore by hand. Early on, tapping is your main income — every tap adds ore you can spend on your first miners.
2. Hire miners to automate
Spend ore to hire miners. Each one produces ore every second on its own, so production continues whether or not you're tapping. Owning more of the same miner reaches milestones that double that miner's output (at 25, 50, 100, 200 and 400 owned).
3. Dig deeper
When you can afford it, unlock the next depth layer. Each layer multiplies the value of all your ore and unlocks a stronger miner type — pickaxes give way to drills, blasters, excavators and tunnel borers as you descend.
4. Prestige for Core Shards
Eventually a run slows down. Prestige to reset your ore, miners and depth in exchange for Core Shards based on how much you earned this run. Each shard permanently boosts your global production, so every new run starts stronger than the last.
Offline earnings & ads
Your miners keep working while the tab is in the background or closed. When you come back, you'll see how much they mined — capped at a maximum offline window so the game stays balanced. Optional rewarded ads let you double offline earnings, trigger a temporary production frenzy, skip ahead, or boost a prestige — every ad reward also has an equal no-ad alternative.
FAQ
What is prestige? A voluntary reset that trades this run's progress for permanent Core Shards. It makes future runs faster.
How long do offline earnings last? They accumulate up to a capped offline window (extendable via prestige upgrades).
Where is my progress stored? Locally in your browser. No account, no upload.
Will I lose my save? Not under normal use — the game autosaves and keeps a backup slot. Clearing your browser data will reset it.
